Q: Is there an age limit for people attending / playing at Butserfest?
A: No, although the festival is aimed at 14-20 year olds.
Q: How many bands play at Butserfest?
A: On the main stage there are approx 13-15 bands and 10-12 on the second stage
Q: How can I play at Butserfest?
A: You can apply for a slot on the second stage by sending in a demo to Butserfest. The second stage line-up will be selected by a panel of judges based on demo submissions and biographies sent in by artists. Demo's will only be accepted in CD format and must include a minimum of 2 tracks, please also include a biography of information on your act including the town/city where you are based. The deadline for submitting demo's is Friday 24th June 2011 and these should be posted to Butserfest, East Hampshire District Council, Penns Place, Petersfield, GU31 4EX.
Q: When / where is it?
A: Butserfest takes place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, nr Petersfield, Hampshire PO8 0QE in mid-September.
Q: Is there camping available?
A: We do not offer camping, although there are a number of places to stay nearby.

Q: What's the situation regarding filming / photography at the festival?

Q: What is your drug/alcohol policy?
A: Butserfest has a strict no alcohol, no drugs (including 'legal high') policy. This includes bands who play at the festival. Our SIA badged security will search ticket holders' bags on the way into the site. There are amnesty bins on the way to the main entrance which banned substances can be dropped in with no questions asked. Any alcohol found will be confiscated and will not be returned. Any drugs found will result in the ticket holder being refused entry with no refund and may be reported to the police. 'Legal highs' will be treated in the same way as illegal drugs. There may also be sniffer dogs on site.
