Butserfest is at the foot of Butser Hill in Queen Elizabeth Country Park. PO8 0QE
Train
South West Trains run regular services to the nearest station in Petersfield. The line runs from Portsmouth to London Waterloo via Guildford.
Taxi
If you need to get from the site to the train after the buses stop running, it may be best to share a taxi. Make sure you book in advance and ensure that the taxi is properly licensed when you are picked up.
Bus
Getting to Butserfest from Petersfield
Take the 37 Stagecoach service from Petersfield Square (heading towards Havant), and press the bell for the bus to stop along the A3 by Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Bike
A cycleway runs south from the Park, adjacent to the A3, towards Clanfield. Please remember to wear appropriate protective equipment and lights (it will be dark by the end of the festival.)
Car
The site has its own sliproads on both the north and south bound carriageways of the A3. The north bound slip road will be closed in the evening to allow for movement of pedestrians around the site. Follow the brown and white tourist board signs and additional yellow AA signs which will be on the route on the day. Parking is available at the Visitors’ Centre at Queen Elizabeth Country Park for those going to the festival. All day parking is £2.
Pickup and getting home
There is no camping available at Butserfest so please ensure you arrange appropriate transport back from the Festival. Car parking will be available for those picking people up near to the Visitors’ centre, which will be signposted (the cafe will be open for teas and coffees). There will be three car parks – A, B and C – and a central Meeting Point at the rear of the QECP visitor centre. Please be patient as the safety of guests is paramount. Please respect the signage and follow instruction from the car parking marshals, exiting on the southbound slip road as directed. Below is a map of the car park area and one-way system.
There will be no access to the festival site during the evening via the northbound carriageway of the A3.
Drivers will need to collect Butserfest guests via the southbound A3 entrance to Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
From the south (Clanfield, Portsmouth).
Drive past the Butserfest site (don’t panic!). Exit for Petersfield/Buriton and follow the signs to the southbound A3. Then follow the directions from the north (below).
From the north (Petersfield, Guildford).
Follow signs for Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
Exit via the slip road (there will be yellow BUTSERFEST signs).
You will be directed from there to the car parks.
Once drivers have collected their guests they will be directed via a one-way system back onto the southbound A3. Northbound traffic should use the junction for Chalton to get back to the northbound A3.
Help keep the festival safe by keeping your speed down to 5mph around the site.
Please keep the one-way system flowing by only stopping in a car park.
