Any drugs found will result in the ticket holder being refused entry with no refund and may be reported to the police. ‘Legal highs’ will be treated in the same way as illegal drugs. There may also be sniffer dogs on site.

what time does it start and finish
Doors should open at 11am and the last band finishes at 10pm. Obviously, these timings may vary.
Is there a minimum age at which children need to be accompanied by an adult?
Hi. We do not set a minimum age, but the safety of young people at the festival is paramount to us. If we have any concerns about an individual’s health or wellbeing we will contact parents to either accompany or collect them.
Parents are welcome to come along with their child.
Hope this answers your question.

Is the any volunteering roles available ?? Thanks
Hi. We do have some volunteers doing stewarding etc but we’re still working out our staffing needs. If you are interested in volunteering, please send your details in an email to butserfest@easthants.gov.uk
Thanks
Rich
Is there going to be a signing tent?:)
Hi. There isn’t a signing tent exactly, but bands can often be seen hanging around near the band merchandise area, so I’d start there!
Rich
Is it only a day long?
Yep, I’m afraid so Em, but we’ve tried to cram as much excitement and entertainment as possible into the 11 hours we have!
will there be band merchandise sold for every band?
Hi Nicole, there will be band merchandise, but it’s up to the bands what they bring, so I can’t guarantee anything. There will be festival t-shirts on sale which include all of the bands.
Hello there, are we allowed to take in our own food and non-alcoholic drinks, or will there be stalls there to purchase from? Thank you
Hi Helen. You can bring food and non alcoholic drinks into the festival. Drink bottles must be unopened (with the seal intact) and please don’t bring any glass.
Thanks
Rich
We’ve booked and paid for a BBQ site for the day not related to Butserfest.. will we be able to get in as it says the northbound entrance will be shut!!
Hi. The northbound entrance shouldn’t be shut all day and you should be able to get to your BBQ site without a problem. I would check details with the Queen Elizabeth Country Park offices. Tel 023 9259 5040 – email qecp.enquiries@hants.gov.uk
Hope this helps
Rich
Hey, just wondering if smoking is allowed on the site?
Thanks
If you’re legally old enough to smoke, you can smoke outside (it’s illegal to smoke in the marquees). You will be searched on the way in, so nothing dodgy! Speaking as someone who goes to festivals a lot, if you can smoke away from the big crowds at the stages and activities, people will appreciate it (especially as we expect a lot of young people and non-smokers).
Thanks
Rich
how many songs approx. will each band play?
Hi Nicole. Bands will have different set times and different length songs. The shortest set is 20 minutes and the longest is 70. How many songs the bands can cram into that time is up to them. I’m guessing, but you’d probably get four or five into 20 minutes.
Hope this helps
Rich
Are there meet and greets or signings?
Hi Nicole. Signings are being organised now. We’ll post up a list next week once they’re confirmed.
Rich
How much will parking cost, and what capacity is the car park? Also, is the only entry route via the south-bound slip-road (no entry via the north-bound slip-road)? Thanks.
Hi Jess. I’ll double-check and come back to you.
Rich
Parking in the main visitors centre car park is £1 for 1 hour, or £2 for the day. Cars picking up from 8.30pm won’t have to pay.
Visitor car park capacity is 140 spaces.
If that’s full we have parking in a couple of fields.
From 8.30pm the northbound slip road will be closed so the only access will be via the southbound exit. Prior to 8.30pm all slip roads are open as normal. The northbound slip road will be closed from 8.30pm until 11.30pm.
Thanks very much, so this means on arrival we can use the northbound sliproad in the morning?
Appreciate your fast reply!
Yep. You can use the northbound bit, once you get around the corner there will be other people arriving and could be people standing in the road, so please drive carefully.
Cheers
Rich
are people aloud to smoke tobacco at the festival?
Hi Jodie. See Sam’s question from August 31st ^
Rich
will there be band signing times announced? if so when?
Yep. Keep an eye on Facebook.
Rich
Hello, just looking at the ‘getting here’ section of your website which says the northbound slip road will be closed, but an answer to an above question says otherwise? Could someone please confirm if it will be open in the morning or not? Thank you!
Hi Ben. You can use the northbound slip road in the morning, but not in the evening. Drop-offs haven’t been an issue in the morning as people arrive at different times, but as everyone leaves the site more-or-less together, we have to close the sliproad for safety in the evening.
Please be aware that there is a tight corner from the sliproad and there may be other vehicles dropping off and young people crossing the road.
Rich
Are the signing tickets for strictly one person, or are two people allowed to go with one item to be signed? I assume it would be one person per ticket but may as well ask haha
Just one person per ticket please!
Rich
is there a chance butserfest will become a 3 or 2 day festival ?
Hi. There’s a chance. Extending the festival would bring up loads of issues that we don’t have at the moment (like overnight camping, security etc) which would mean our ticket prices would have to go up to reflect the additional costs, something we’d rather avoid. It might be that we do something different for a second day, but we’ll get this year’s festival out of the way before we think more about it!
Rich
For the cd competition do you have to tag butserfest’s facebook page in the photo so it comes up in butserfest’s photo’s of you part?, because it wont let me tag the photo with the butserfest page.
Hi. ahh we’re sorry. There must be something in your settings that is preventing you from tagging our FB page. Check your settings? Alternatively you can enter this comp on Twitter. @butserfest
Do you know approximately how much a taxi would cost from the festival to Petersfield station?
Hi Shannon. I think a taxi to Petersfield will probably be around £10, but you would have to ask to be certain. If you need to get the train, it would be worth (a) pre-booking and (b) finding a few friends to share the taxi with and split the cost. We’re not going to have a taxi rank on the day so only pre-booked taxis will be able to pick up from the site.
Rich
Can you take a dog to the festival?! :0)
I’m afraid not. If someone can look after it during the day, Queen Elizabeth Country Park is a really good place to take a dog for a walk, but we won’t allow it into the festival unless it’s an assistance dog. Sorry.
Rich
is there going to be somewhere we can drop off bags and jackets instead of carrying them round for the whole day?
Hi Holly. Unfortunately we don’t have any lock-up facilities. It’s something we’ll definitely consider for next year. Whilst it’s worth bringing something warm to put on in the evening, you can get most things you might need on site. Please ensure you take care of anything you do decide to bring with you.
Rich
Would it be best to wear wellies?
Hi Lily. The weather’s still looking pretty good for tomorrow, so I won’t be. If it’s really hot you’ll get sweaty feet!
The site’s been dryish for most of the last week, so it’s not muddy under foot. I think it would take a fair bit of rain to make it worth boots.
Rich
Hi everyone. I’m going home now so I probably won’t see any more questions until after Butserfest. If you need an urgent answer, please go to facebook.com/butserfest and put something on there.
Cheers
Rich
are we allowed to bring food/drink? (not alcohol)
Hi Eleanor. Not sure if you’ll see this before you get here but yes, you can bring food and drinks as long as the bottle/can is sealed (no glass please).
Rich
hey two thing really i havent hear enything about my tickets which were ordered before christmas!! and will there be lock ups this year thanks guys
Hi Ben. You should have received an email with your tickets attached. We don’t send out paper tickets, you’ll just need to print out the PDF and bring it with you on the day so we can scan it in. If you haven’t received the email, I can resend it.
Did you use the same email address you’ve entered here when you purchased them? If not, please let us know by replying to this (I won’t publish it) or emailing butserfest@easthants.gov.uk
In terms of lock-ups, we probably won’t have one this year. We’d like to be able to, but things like lockers are pretty expensive to hire, and would probably end up costing quite a bit for ticket holders to use. We’re still looking into it though.
